GAVRIEL D. ROSENFELD is Professor of History and Director of the Undergraduate Program in Judaic Studies at Fairfield University. He is the author or editor of seven books, including, most recently, The Fourth Reich: The Specter of Nazism from World War II to the Present (Cambridge, 2019). His book, Hi Hitler! How the Nazi Past is Being Normalized in Contemporary Culture (Cambridge, 2015), won the German Studies Association’s Sybil Halpern Milton award in 2017 for best book on the subject of Nazism and the Holocaust. His book, Building after Auschwitz: Jewish Architecture and the Memory of the Holocaust (Yale, 2011), was a finalist for the National Jewish Book award in the category of art and architecture.
